# UFMA (Ultimate Freestyle Martial Arts)
UFMA is a specialist martial arts training facility in East Preston, West Sussex, delivering high-quality instruction in a unique freestyle discipline that synthesises techniques from multiple martial arts styles. The club caters to both adults and juniors aged five and above, offering a comprehensive pathway from complete beginners through to advanced practitioners.
The organisation distinguishes itself through its thoughtfully blended approach to martial arts training, equipping students with genuinely adaptable self-defence skills rather than rigid, single-discipline techniques. This flexibility makes the training applicable to real-world situations whilst maintaining rigorous technical standards.
Instruction is provided by an experienced, credentialed team led by Sensei David Washington (4th Dan Black Belt and Head Instructor), supported by Andy Boxall (1st Dan), and junior specialists Megan Washington and Olivia Washington. Amelia Miller ensures comprehensive wellbeing support for younger members.
UFMA's structured progression system features grading opportunities every three months, providing clear advancement pathways and tangible recognition of achievement. The inclusive, friendly community environment makes it accessible to people of all backgrounds and abilities seeking genuine personal development through martial arts.
Adult and teen classes (13+) run twice weekly on Tuesdays and Thursdays (7:00–8:30 PM), whilst dedicated Junior Warrior Classes operate on Tuesdays (6:00–6:45 PM), accommodating family schedules effectively.
